Dinovember hits Scarborough!

  • Scarborough Market Hall Scarborough (map)

Gekoglass and Scarborough Market Hall have cancelled November and replaced it with Dinovember for 2019.

Dinosaur Day itself will take place on November 2 from 10am-3pm.

Hunter the Sinraptor (a very lifelike animatronic) will be escorted by rangers and is available to meet children at 11am, 12.15pm, 1.30pm.

There will also be a huge range of dinosaur themed children’s books, activities, jigsaws and sticker books on sale all day with Rise & Smile Book Company.

Aladdin's Allsorts will be joining in with their dinosaur shooting gallery and Hidden Horizons will be welcoming visitors into their Dinosaur Dome.

Rise and Smile Book Company have a pop up stall and will have so many dinosaur books, you will be amazed!

The celebrations don’t end there, throughout the month Gekoglass will be revealing a new dinosaur inspired display every single day and there will be competitions in store to win dinosaur goodies.

Local artists will be displaying dinosaur inspired art throughout all three floors of the Market Hall for all 30 days, and there is a dinosaur trail where children will have to find 20 dinosaurs across all three floors and shop windows.

Dinovember is the original brain child of Refe and Susan Tuma. They created the concept in 2013 to inspire their children to play and let go of modern technology for a little while.

Lindsay Broddle, from Gekoglass, discovered the American phenomenon in 2018 and her imagination indeed ran riot for Dinovember to evolve at Scarborough Market Hall for the first time this year.
