Get creative this half term with the Shadow Puppets Workshop at Scarborough Art Gallery on Wednesday 29 October 2025. Sessions run from 10.00am–12.00pm and 1.00pm–3.00pm.

Inspired by the exhibition Christopher P. Wood – Red Riding and The Brothers Grimm, children can design and make their own articulated shadow puppet in the spirit of spooky and whimsical fairytale characters.

🎨 Drop-in event — no booking required (numbers may be limited during busy times). Suitable for children aged 5–11, though younger and older children are welcome too.

🎟 Free for children, adults require a £5 Annual Pass which grants entry to both Scarborough Art Gallery and the Rotunda Museum for 12 months.
👨‍👩‍👧 Children must be accompanied by an adult.
