24 September: Portrait by Georgina Burns. Feminist academic Laura returns to work following her father’s death. She hangs in her office a painting he’s left her of her grandfather’s time in India, sparking accusations of colonial arrogance and racism. Laura’s previous certainties are replaced by a febrile campus atmosphere, competing grievances and demands that she chooses a side.
