Burton Agnes Jazz and Blues Festival

  • Burton Agnes Hall (map)

The Burton Agnes Jazz and Blues Festival is uniquely set in one of the UK's finest Elizabethan stately piles: Burton Agnes Hall, home to the saxophone playing organiser, Simon Cunliffe-Lister. Providing music for all tastes, from those seeking an ambient accompaniment to a glass of wine in the majestic grounds, to the jazz or blues aficionado wanting to get up close to star performers on the outdoor main stage and into the Great Hall, with courtyard sessions and also late night sessions in the bar tent.

The main stage will offer some of the UK’s hottest performers, including songs by sultry songtress Peggy Lee performed by the wonderful Jo Harrop, while living legend of blues Billy Branch - presented by the Giles Robson Band - will billow out the tunes. Plus there’ll be many, many more exiting bands.

The finest Yorkshire fare will be on offer, from home-cooked local food, to award-winning local ales from Wold Top Brewery, plus delicious homebaked treats in the Tea Tent and enticing ices in the vintage ice cream van. There really will be plenty to keep festivalgoers fuelled for the weekend!
