A series of evening lectures is taking place as part of CU Scarborough’s commemoration of 100 years since the end of the First World War.
Events are free to attend and open to the public. No need to book.

Volunteer Nurses During World War One

Tutor Samantha Woods-Peel will look at the training and work of three women who volunteered as Red Cross nurses during World War One – Vera Brittain, Violet Jessop and Ruston girl Dorothy Poad.
