STIG OF THE DUMP

  • Stephen Joseph Theatre (map)

Barney is BORED.

His sister is too cool to play with him and his grandparents have stuff to do, newspapers to read, you know, grown-up stuff. So what does any bored kid do? Exactly what the ‘grown-ups’ tell him not to do. Suddenly Barney finds himself falling down into a chalk pit where he gets far more than he bargains for...

He meets Stig. A boy from a forgotten time. A CAVEMAN!

Somehow the two get on just fine without words and have the most amazing adventures. This lively, fun, exciting performance comes to you from the same team that brought you George’s Marvellous Medicine.

Stig of the Dump, adapted by Mike Kenny (The Railway Children) is a classic tale that stands the test of time and feels as fresh as it did on the day it was written.
